Originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, Katherine relocated to San Francisco in 1986. Since her arrival, she has become a highly respected cellist in the San Francisco Bay Area classical music community. She is currently the Principal Cellist in the Holy Names Orchestra in Oakland California. Besides performing with her own group, Katherine is asked often to perform with other Bay Area string ensembles.

Katherine is also an accomplished cello instructor of 13 years with over 30 students ranging in age from as young as 4 years old through adult.
